Marked by Imagination Acquires MGA Yardage Insert Business From Red Sky Golf

Marked by Imagination, Inc. is proud to announce that as of January 1, 2010, it has entered into an agreement with Red Sky Golf, LLC of Chandler, AZ, to aquire the Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) Yardage Insert portion of their business.

Over two years ago, Red Sky Golf approached Marked by Imagination about fabricating the yardage inserts that their company provides to the MGA for use in the MGA's official yardage markers. Red Sky Golf has been the exclusive provider of the yardage inserts to MGA affiliated golf courses for almost five years.

Due to economic declines over the past few years that have negatively impacted the golf industry and Red Sky Golf's other primary business offerings, Red Sky Golf has decided to close its doors to pursue opportunities in other markets.

Red Sky Golf approached Marked by Imagination late in 2009 about acquiring this portion of their business as it seemed to make strategic sense given all of the other services that Marked by Imagination had to offer to the MGA including golf awards, tournament gifts, golf course staff name tags, and much more. This would also provide the MGA affiliated golf courses with a seamless and uninterrupted transition of the purchasing and fulfillment processes they have used for the past five years.

Gannon Wegner, President of Red Sky Golf, had this to say about the acquisition: "We've been extremely happy with the services that Marked by Imagination has provided Red Sky over the years and would not offer this part of our business to anyone that didn't provide exceptional service to their clients. We are happy that we could find a solution that would provide the MGA with a seamless extension of the services we've offered them in the past."

We are sad to see a wonderful customer close their doors and we wish everyone at Red Sky Golf the best in their new endeavors.
